The Classic Learning Test (CLT) is an alternative college entrance exam to the SAT and ACT.

The test is now widely accepted at over 250 higher educational institutions across the United States. In September of 2023, the Florida’s Board of Governors voted to approve the CLT as an accepted admissions test at all Florida public universities.

How is the Exam Structured?

The exam has three sections: 1. Verbal Reasoning, 2. Grammar & Writing, and 3. Quantitative Reasoning. There is also an optional essay portion of the test.

As stated on the CLT website, “The CLT considers students’ intellectual capacity and aptitude, and puts them in front of meaningful pieces of literature that have stood the test of time.” For more information please visit: cltexam.com.
